All Pakistan Solvent Extractors’
Association is a representative body, which takes
care the interest of the extractors and coordinates
their problems with the Federal and Provincial Government
Agencies to resolve them.
In order to safeguard the interests on all Pakistan
bases and to project the problems of extractors for
consideration of the Federal and Provincial Governments,
to educate and advise the members, to adopt ways the
industry could be improved to the International standard
All Pakistan Solvent Extractors’ Association
came into existence in 1980 and recognized and licensed
by the Federal Government of Pakistan.
The founder members Mr. Ali Muhammad Bangali, Mr.
Majid Abdullah, Mr. Tufail Y. Habib, Mr. Dost Muhammad,
Mian Muhammad Anwer, Mr. Abbass Habib and Mian Ejaz
Iqbal step into formulate the Articles and Memorandum
of Association to streamline and prepare the Code
of Ethics for the members in 1980 and hold portfolio
up to 2003. Then by rotation, we regularly started
holding elections and operated in a democratic way.
The First Head Office of the Association was established
in Karachi and Zonal Office at Multan. Later on Head
Office of the Association was shifted from Karachi
to Multan in 2008. By passing the time and improvement
of the strategies of the Association now Association
is working in all Pakistan on a democratic way.We
have not yet closed the chapter and the progress is
still under way.
The APSEA own office at Multan was purchased and Secretrate
shifted there in 2017. The finances are collected
with our own resources and with the cooperation and
subscription by our worthy members. We hope we will
be doing much more for the improvement of solvent
industry which is playing its vital role to strengthen
the economy of Pakistan.
The Head of the Association is Chairman whereas two
Vice Chairmen one from Southern zone and other from
Northern zone who take care of their areas to help
out the members. The Southern zone (comprising of
Sind and Baluchistan) has a share of 4 members where
as Northern zone (including Punjab and Khyber Pakhton
Khwah and Capital area) has share of 6 members in
the Central Executive Committees including Chairman
& Vice Chairmen. Apart from this, station wise
Sub Committees are also formed when the need arises
which resolve their local problems. The elections
of Central Executive Committee take place every year
according to the schedule which is being selected
directly by General Body. The Chairman, Vice Chairmen
are elected by members of Executive Committee among
themselves. The day-to-day expenses and the capital
expenditures of the Association are born by self-contribution
or by subscription of the entire solvent industry
in Pakistan. The membership of the Association is
increasing day by day due to the positive approach
of the management for negotiating with the Govt. to
solve business problems of the Industry.
The main Secretariat of the Association is established
at Multan where the Secretary General of the Association
is the Executive Officer responsible to run the general
administration and the other matters as per Memorandum
& Articles of Association under the guidance of
Chairman. Besides this a regional office has also
been established at Karachi to facilitate the members
of South Zone in day to day matters. This office directly
works under Head Office at Multan
